David Lavern Houston's Obituary
David Houston, 72, of Fulton, Missouri passed away, Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his home in Fulton.
David was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on November 27, 1949 and lovingly raised by Eugene & LouEtta (Ballanger) Houston. He received his education from Moulton High School. On March 2, 1983, David was united in marriage to Linda Landrum in Tok, Alaska.
After providing electricity for grain elevators in the Midwest, David worked as an electrician for Alaska Power and Telephone in Tok and Betties, AK. He also worked in Facilities Maintenance for the University of MO, Columbia and William Woods University, Fulton, MO.
David enjoyed fishing, golf and travel and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Houston, children: Tiah Houston, Thomas Houston, Dale Houston, Kris Houston, grandchildren: Pracilla Hedgepeth, Libelle Hedgepeth, Jericho Troge, Jasmine Troge, Phoenix Troge, siblings: Lois Heartley, Lowell Houston, Diana Witkowski, Bruce Gladfelder and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rex Gladfelder.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, September 12, 2022 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Hardin Cemetery.
