David Ray Hartman's Obituary
David Hartman, 59 of Davenport and formerly of Centerville passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport.
David was born to Gary & Julia (Hendershot) Hartman on September 21, 1962 in Storm Lake, Iowa. David received his education from Centerville High School, graduating in 1981. He would later attend the University of Iowa and graduate with a BA in 1986.
David was employed by the State of Iowa - Iowa Workforce for over 35 years. He enjoyed playing and watching golf in his spare time. David was an avid Hawkeye Fan. He also loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. David always looked forward to coming home to his two cats: Kitty and Tommy.
Survivors include his mother, Julia Shirley (Ed), brothers: Craig Hartman (Marsha), Dennis Hartman (Samantha) and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Hartman.
A celebration of David's life will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at First United Methodist Church in Centerville. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home with family present from 5-7 pm.
