David Bunch's Obituary
Father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle and cousin, David A Bunch passed away at the age of 79 at Oakwood Nursing & Rehab on April 14, 2005. David was born on Sept. 29, 1925 in Valley Junction, Iowa the son of Otis and Mary (Ridgeway) Bunch.
David married Lois Hostetler on June 1, 1952 in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a member of the Mennonite Church in Parnell, Iowa, American Legion Post 340 in Mystic, fought for the United States Army in the Battle of the Bulge, was a P.O.W in WWII in a Nazi Concentration Camp.
David is survived by his wife Lois Mae Bunch, five children; Kenneth Bunch, Edward Bunch, Roy Bunch, Nancy Bunch and James Bunch, he also has two children from a previous marriage; Lorena Osborn and David Bunch Jr.,two brothers; Donnie and Bobby Clark, three sisters; Della Beber, Martha Jean Martin and Dorothy Huss, 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by two sons; Danny Bunch and Robert Bunch, and a daughter Laura Bash.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Mystic Community Church. Visitation will be held all day Friday at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-9 p.m. Burial with full military honors will be held in Elgin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established which may be mailed to Lois Bunch Box 217 Mystic, Iowa 52574.
