My sincere sympathies and condolences to the friends and family of Daunita during this difficult time. Daunita and my grandmother, Mary Masters, were good friends and talked almost every night on the phone for decades. Daunita shared her sparkle and joy everywhere she went. She was a beacon of light for many and was always very friendly to me without judgment. I can vaguely remember being held by her at ballgames when I was a baby. Not sure why, but I have foggy memories of this. I remember participating with my folks at the shivaree of either Bobby or Lynn where we all beat on pots and pans and some even shot their guns in the air to make a raucous midnight serenade for the newlyweds. Daunita and Jess always had good candy when my sister and I would trick-or-treat. I remember Daunita as always being cheerful and fun. The light she brought to this world will be greatly missed by many. I am grateful for having had the privilege of knowing such a wonderful person.
