Darlene Mavis Roberts' Obituary
Darlene Roberts, 88, of Moberly, Missouri and formerly of Corydon passed away at her home in Moberly on Monday, October 24, 2016. Darlene was born in Wayne County on December 1, 1927 to Tommy & Esther (Lowe) Liggett. She received her education from country school in Wayne County. Darlene was united in marriage to Rex Roberts. She lived in the house she was born in for over 80 years before moving to Moberly to be near her family. She enjoyed the farm life, sewing and being a homemaker. Raising her children and grandchildren was her greatest joy. Survivors include her children: Ronald Cook (Cheryl) of Huntsville, MO., Delores Cox (Jack) of Moberly, MO., Bob Roberts (Connie) of Ames, IA., Kathy Edmondson of Trenton, MO., Ray Roberts of Trenton, MO., 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Rex and daughter, Dorothy Bolerjack. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 12-1 p.m. Interment will be in Richardson Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Prairie Trails Museum of Wayne County and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
