Darin Lee Dixon's Obituary
Darin Lee Dixon, age 53 of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center.
Darin was born on March 15, 1967 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Michael Lee Dixon and Charlotte Ann (Beard) Dixon. He graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1985. Darin furthered his education, attending Indian Hills Community College, graduating with a diploma in Machinery.
Darin had many jobs throughout his lifetime, including everything from farming to machinist. He worked at the foundry in Bloomfield for a period of time, before beginning employment with DavenCorp Welding & Fabrication in Bloomfield, where he worked for several years.
In his later years, Darin enjoyed watching television, especially CSI and Criminal Minds, and loved collecting and watching movies.
Left to honor Darins memory are his mother, Charlotte Ann Dixon of Centerville; his father, Michael Lee Dixon of Colorado; three step siblings, Darlene Deborah (Norman) Tooley of Norman, Oklahoma, David (Cindy) Winter of Maryville, Washington, and Tami (Randy) Hunt of Centerville; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Darin was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Dixon; his grandparents, Charles and Velma Beard, and Jess and Frances Dixon; and his step father, Jack Zurlinden.
According to Darins wishes, cremation has been accorded, and family services will be held at a later date. Memorials have been established to either Charlotte Dixon to be determined at a later date or to RAPT (Reaching All People Together), and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, C/O Dixon family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
