Daphna L. Larson's Obituary
Daphna L. Larson, age 87, of Knoxville, Iowa, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 at her son's home near Centerville. She was born the daughter of Henry J. and Marie (Spitznogle) Fields on June 5, 1919 in Centralia, Illinois. She received her education at the Grandview Community Schools in Grandview, Iowa.On May 23, 1938, Daphna was united in marriage to Leland M. Larson in Bethany, Missouri. She was a waitress, housekeeper, Crossing Guard and also worked for the Knoxville Community Schools in the Kitchen.She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Merle Stephens; sisters, Nelda Marie Knott and Vivian Wiele.Daphna was also survived by: her husband, Leland M. Larson of Centerville, Iowa; sons, Gary Larson and his wife, Sharrelle of Letts, Iowa and Stephen Larson and his wife, Denise of Centerville, Iowa; daughter, Judith Ann Crouch and her husband, Bill of Casey, Illinois, Nancy Fearing of Reinholds, Pennsylvania and Wendy Thomas and her husband, Larry of Knoxville, Iowa; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.A private Memorial Service was held and the family will have burial of her remains in Grandview, Iowa at a later date.
