Dale Max Rickert's Obituary
Dale Max Rickert, age 89 of Corydon, Iowa passed away on May 10, 2025 at his home under the care of EveryStep Hospice.
Dale was born on April 4, 1936 to Dean and Ila (Coffey) Rickert. He graduated from Humeston High School with the class of 1954. Shortly after high school he met the love of his life, Collette, they later married on November 9, 1955. To this union one son was born, Dennis.
Throughout his life Dale had many jobs, but his biggest passion was farming, although he didn't get to do it long, he loved it. He liked to be outside in nature or inside watching the latest sports. Dale was also a member of the Free Masonry Organization. Dale received Christ as his Savior at the age of sixteen and was baptized at Cambria Baptist Church, and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Corydon. He was a quiet and kind guy with great faith who will be missed by many.
Dale is survived by his son, Dennis Rickert (Maria); brother, Wayne Rickert (Sonny), sister-in-law, Diane Rickert; brothers-in-law, Roy Greenlee (Linda), Ray Greenlee (Betty), Lloyd Housley (Joyce), along with numerous family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Collette; his parents; his father and mother-in-law Simeon Jay and Cordelia Greenlee; sister, Sherry Housley; brothers, Larry Rickert, James Rickert and Rex Rickert; sister-in-law, Arlette Moore (Willard); brother-in-law, William Greenlee.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 2:00PM, at First Baptist Church in Corydon. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Corydon Cemetery following the service.
