Curtis was my nephew and Godson and after his Dad passed away he became my second son as well. he loved his Grandma and Grandpa and decided to stay in Centerville after his Dad's passing so he could make sure he could take care of them. He would always call me and talk about up coming fights and when he decided that he wanted to see if Deara would go out with him. And when she finally agreed and their love grew for each other, you knew it was a love that would last a lifetime. His determination matched his Grandpa's and once he put his mind to something he would make sure he finished it. He used that determination to change his life and he worked really hard and was proud of his meetings with the NA and how they helped him. When he started at Vermeer he really loved his job. He wanted to be a machinist like his Dad was, and he became a damn fine one. He would tell me about projects and he called me about his up coming meeting with some very important people at Vermeer on a cost saving project and was nervous and I told him that he has done a fantastic job and from our phone conversation he impressed the hell out of me and I know that Verneer would of been proud of the presentation he had developed for them to see. Curtis, We all know in our hearts where you wanted to be but there were other plans and we have to respect them, but the amount of friends and family who showed up in Centerville for you was overwhelming. You touched alot of peoples heart's and made friends for life. I could go on forever but I will keep those memories in my heart. You are going to be missed forever buddy, by everyone that you touched and especially by our family. I would like to say a special thank you to Both Tom and Ben Lange, but especially Ben. For all that you and your family did and have done you have my eternal gratitude. And Thank you to Tanner. You were a very close friend to Curtis and you have become a member of our family. And Deara, The time came to soon but we all know how you loved each other. You are a member of this family now and we will always be there for you...
