I will miss my cousin Curt so very, very much. He was my friend. My life was enriched by just knowing him. I loved his cards and letters and drawings and photos and emails and phone calls. I always wished we could visit in person and really regret not doing so. He loved his family so much, his mom Jane and grandmom Sarah, and his former wife Jolene and his current wife Denise and their daughter Tracy and her spouse Miranda and all his uncles and cousins in Iowa. I learned so much from him about horses and the Butter Cow and the Exline General Store, which he was sad to see be closed recently. I will miss him greatly. My fondest memory of Curt was going to the Centerville pool with Diane, Jane, Curt and myself. After a good time swimming it was on to Raymond's for an ice cream cone and watching the square activities. We had some great laughs! Curt was a sweet and gentle soul and I can only imagine how much he will be missed by Denise, Tracy, and all his family and friends. Curtis was a good friend over the years always staying in touch. I would receive large letters and cards out of the blue describing his latest adventures. He would also find old pictures and videos that he would put on CD so I could see his trips along with a very detailed letter. We looked forward to when Curtis would travel back east for reunions in Maine. He would always spend a day or two with us which was a real treat. He was a great story teller. Curt and I shared our childhoods in New Jersey and a love of horses. We maintained e-mail correspondence up until just last week. He sent me many numerous stories; but, most recently, he sent me photos of the lilacs in his back yard. He was proud of his home and loved spending time with Denise and Tracy and family and friends who played cards with him or just met for coffee. I will miss him and his e-mails and cherish his memory.
