Dear Bankson Family: I was shocked and surprised to read of Craig's passing. I moved away and so I hadn't seen Craig, or you guys, since probably the mid to late 70's, but I remember you all just like it was yesterday. One of my favorite memories of Craig and you guys is one time in the very early 70's when Craig, Rick Zaputil, and myself was riding our mini-bikes on that piece of gravel or shale land right beside your family home. Don't know what that area was but maybe it was a county storage area for road maintenance materials. Anyway, we had a lot of fun that day. But the years go by fast and before we know it here we are mourning the passing of one of us. It doesn't seem possible. Well, you guys take care and I pray that The Lord Jesus Christ comforts you, now and always. Love, Mark Cochran.

With loving memories of "Craig Shannon Bankson",Love you all very much.Matt and Angel Hammack
We commemorate the life of Craig, a long-time friend and an impressive intellect in history. His wit and friendly demeanor always brought joy to those around him. Craig was a true vessel of kindness, extending his love not only to people but animals as well. He had an extraordinary knack for carpentry, often filled with abundant slabs of marble countertop, evident of his creative spirit. After 40 cherished years of companionship, he will be profoundly missed. Rest in peace dear Craig.
Sorry for your loss

Craig's smile, you can't unsee that. Just pure genuine nice guy! Every time I saw him he had a smile and made me laugh. When I first met him he lived in Brazil by the old school house. His pride was his little girl that he always called Rebel. Even after he broke up with her mom, he always had Rebel stories when I saw him. That's how I'm going to remember him. Me as a teenager walking by that little house in Brazil, seeing him and Rebel outside playing with big smiles on their faces. We shared many laughs and he was the friend you knew would spread that infectious smile and cheer everyone up. Grateful for that friendship. My deepest sincere condolences to all his family and friends, smile in his honor.

Craig was a very kind man and a wonderful carpenter.

He was a good buddy of mine in the 80s and 90s. I'll be in Mystic next Saturday for his Celebration of life.
