Constance 'Connie' Elaine Zuercher's Obituary
Constance "Connie" Elaine Zuercher, age 74, of Unionville, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at her home.
Connie was born on November 26, 1947 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Grace (Stufflebeam) Batterson. She graduated from Belvidere, Illinois High School. Connie was united in marriage to Ransom Eugene "Gene" Zuercher, and to this union, two children were born, Eddie and Heather. The couple later divorced.
For a period of time, Connie worked at Iowa Southern Utilities in Centerville. She later accepted a position at the Unionville, Iowa Post Office.
Connie thoroughly enjoyed the Hee-Haw Show in Unionville, Iowa every year. She was part of the Snodgrass Sisters. She was also fond of playing card games with her friends and family. Connie was a member of the Unionville Baptist Church in Unionville, Iowa.
Left to cherish Connies memory are her children, Eddie Zuercher of Louisiana and Heather Zuercher (Joe Snow) of Unionville, Iowa; her brother, Max Batterson (Katheryn Carr-Batterson); her sister, Ramona Nicoletto of Centerville, Iowa; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Grace Batterson; her brother, Bert Batterson; a great nephew, Chris Starr, a nephew, Tim Batterson; and her niece, Tammi Walker.
Per family wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Unionville Baptist Church in Unionville, Iowa with Pastor Josh Davenport officiating. Memorials have been established to the Unionville Baptist Church, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, ATTN: Zuercher family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
