Connie Walker's Obituary
Connie Rae Walker, 59 of Centerville, passed away on January 26, 2021 in Centerville, Iowa in Appanoose County. Connie was born on June 12, 1961 to Paul Raymond and Florence Opal (Rosenthal) Walker in Ottumwa, Iowa in Wapello County. Connie had Down's Syndrome and was lovingly cared for by her parents at the family home in Davis County, Iowa. When her mother became ill with cancer, Connie became a resident of Zylpha Price Home East in Centerville on September 1, 1992 where she continued to receive loving care. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Carol Sue Walker and brother Richard Paul Walker. She is survived by her brothers Gary Walker (Joanne), Larry "Gus" Walker (Sandy), nieces and nephews Keith Walker (Tracy), Craig Walker and friend Renee, Brenda McClure (Doran), Amanda Eaton (Gerold) and Kelly Munley (Toby), great-nieces and -nephews Megan, Ryan and Kathryn Walker, Hunter and Ally McClure, Carter Eaton and MaKenna Munley, sister-in-law Carolyn Walker, numerous extended family and her many friends at Zylpha Price. A time to remember and honor the life of Connie will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Dunville Baptist Church at 15356 Nuthatch Avenue in Bloomfield, Iowa. Interment will be at the Dunville Cemetery, across the road from the church, at a later date.
