Connie Jayne Brown's Obituary
Connie Jayne Brown, age 74, of Centerville, Iowa passed away Sunday, October 03, 2021 at UnityPoint Health-Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
She was born in Centerville, Iowa on June 12, 1947, the daughter of Lonnie Lee William and Mertle Margaret (Scarlett) Clark. In her formative years, Connie attended Centerville Community Schools.
Connie was united in marriage to Larry Brown and to this union of matrimony, the couple were blessed with a daughter, Tammy. They later divorced. Connie then married Clarence "Bud" Brown, celebrating many years of marriage until his passing.
She enjoyed several hobbies throughout her lifetime, most notably fishing. Connies most cherished part of her life revolved around her family, especially her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her earlier years, she was an active member of the Open Bible Church in Centerville.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Tammy Brown (James Wright) of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren, Nathan McLemore, Ricky (JoAnna) Camper, and Jamarie Camper (Sharron Sambou); four great grandchildren, LaVeah Camper, Ricky "Bubby" Camper, Melajia Hutchinson, and Diallo Sambou; five sisters, including one very special sister-Fairie (Charles) Buban of Brazil, Iowa; along with numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a couple of special and caring friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Lee William and Mertle Margaret Clark; her husband, Clarence "Bud" Brown; four brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, October 8, 2021 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, with Pastors Rose and Virgil Bright officiating. Burial will follow the service at Haines Cemetery, north of Centerville. Visitation will take place Friday, October 8, 2021 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 11:00AM-1:00PM. Memorials have been established to Tammy Brown, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, C/O Brown family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
