Collette Rickert's Obituary
Collette Fay Rickert, 82 of Corydon passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. Collette was born on the farm west of Corydon on January 13, 1936 to S. Jay & Cordelia Greenlee. Collette received her education from Corydon High School, graduating in 1954. On November 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to Dale Rickert at Unity Church, south of Humeston. To this union came one son, Dennis. Collette was employed by the telephone company in Corydon before they went to the dial system. She was also a teacher's aid at Corydon Schools until she became a cook at the senior center for 25 years. She was most noted as a homemaker, who took care of her family. Collette was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a faithful person who loved the lord. Survivors include her husband, Dale Rickert, son, Dennis Rickert (Maria), two brothers: Roy Greenlee (Linda), Ray Greenlee (Betty), brothers-in-law, Wayne Rickert (Sonny), Rex Rickert (Diane), Lloyd Housley (Joyce) and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Arletta Moore, brother, William Greenlee, sister-in-law, Sherry Housley, a brother-in-law, Larry Rickert and her father and mother-in-law: Dean and Ila Rickert. Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Friday, January 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Palmer officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
