Colleen Polsdofer's Obituary
Colleen Maxine Polsdofer, 85 of Corydon passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Corydon Specialty Care. Colleen was born on the family farm near Roseland, Nebraska on September 7, 1933 to Albert & Lavona (Garrett) Farman. Colleen attended rural school at Pleasant Hill and Benton Center. She would receive her education from Cambria/Corydon High School, graduating in 1951. Colleen was united in marriage to Lawrence "Bud" Polsdofer on April 6, 1952. To this union two children were born: Roger and Celeste. Colleen worked at Corydon State Bank until her and Bud started their family. She would later become employed at Wayne Community Schools as a Teacher's Aid and later became the librarian. Colleen enjoyed working with all the kids that passed through the school halls in her 30 plus years of employment. She was a long time member of Corydon United Methodist Church until her health would no longer allow her to attend. Survivors include her children: Roger Polsdofer (Linda), Celeste Clark (Jimmy), grandchildren: Jody Clark-Hinrichs (Eric), Joe Clark (Teresa), Ryan Polsdofer, Tyson Polsdofer (Nicole), great- grandchildren: Cody, Peyton, Emily Polsdofer, sister-in-law Ardes Bier, brothers-in-law, Duane Polsdofer, Ed Polsdofer (Ethel) and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Bud, grandson, Kyle Polsdofer, sisters-in-law: Marian, Mavis, Avis, Elda, Leona, Neva, Dorothy, Agnes, Joann, Sharie, brothers-in-law, Art Hanson, Glen Bier, Robert Hiscocks, Virgil Rice, mother and father-in-law, Art Polsdofer (Ella). Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior from 12-2pm.
