Colleen Hetzler's Obituary
Clara 'Colleen' Hetzler, age 80, of Moulton Iowa, died, Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born the daughter of Clay and Blanche (Watkins) Kerby on February 25, 1930 in Moulton, Iowa. Colleen graduated from Moulton High School with the class of 1948.On August 21, 1949 Colleen was united in marriage to Max Hetzler in Moulton, Iowa. She was a farm wife while also working for RayCo in Centerville, Iowa and later retired from Viskase Inc. also in Centerville. After her retirement she enjoyed working at the House of Hearts in Centerville on the week-ends. Colleen was a member of Moulton Christian Church in Moulton, Iowa and American Legion Auxiliary.Colleen is preceded in death by: her husband, Max Hetzler on July 2, 1997; her parents; brother, Edison 'E.J.' Kerby on January 31, 2006; and an infant sister, Carolyn Kerby.She is survived by: a daughter, Linda Cox of Moulton, Iowa;sons; Wayne and his wife, Teresa Hetzler of Moulton, Iowa, Orvil and his wife, Liz Hetzler of Moulton, Iowa, David and his wife, Janet Hetzler of Columbia, Missouri, and Kevin and his wife, Nancy of Crowley, Louisiana; brothers, Jerry and Donnie Kerby both of Moulton, Iowa, and a sister Claetta Ward of Coatsville, Missouri; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Moulton Christian Church in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Jerry Weller and Rev. Reg Higgenbottom. Burial will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery near Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 26, 2010 from 1-8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa.Memorials can be made to either Orlean's Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary or the Moulton Christian Church and left at or mailed to the funeral home.
