Clifford Wayne Caster's Obituary
Clifford Wayne Caster, age 86, of Plano, Iowa, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at his home near Plano. He was born the son of Ernest and Selma (Johnson) Caster on July 29, 1919 near Moravia, Iowa. He received his education in the Hazel College School in Rural Monroe County near Moravia.Clifford served his country during WWII from May of 1942 until his honorable discharge in December of 1945. On November 10, 1946, he was united in marriage to Betty Strunk at the Miller Baptist Church near Moravia, Iowa. Clifford farmed for over 38 years in the Moravia area as well as drove a school bus for 28 years for the Moravia School District. He attended the Plano Christian Church for many years at Plano, Iowa.He was preceded in death by: his parents; sons, Clifford Michael Caster and David Ernest Caster; daughter, Jennifer Sue Caster; sister, Margaret Caster and a brother, Darrell Caster.Clifford is survived by: his wife, Betty Caster of Plano, Iowa; daughters, Pat and her husband, Mike Miltenberger of Marshalltown, Iowa and Joni and her husband, Mark Short of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brothers, Clarence Caster of Ottuwma, Iowa, Leo Caster of Albia, Iowa and Floyd Caster of Walker, Minnesota; Six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 1 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. David Welch officiating. Burial with full Military Honors by Centerville Area Veterans, will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery near Moravia, Iowa following the service.
