Christine Shipman's Obituary
Christine (Ritter) Shipman, 75, of Centerville, passed away on October 17, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Christine was born on May 30, 1943 in Moulton to Raymond and Lottie (Henderson) Ritter. She graduated from High School and then worked as a cook. Christine was most recently employed by Casey's General Store as a cook after her retirement from Bemis Company. She enjoyed working outside, gardening, watching movies, chatting with people and loved time spent with her family. Survivors include her son, Greg Green; sister, Rayetta Waddell and brothers: Ronnie and Neil Ritter. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dwight Green; brothers: Gerald, Robert, Richard, Larry Ritter and Virgil, sisters: Virginia Jarr and Vivian Middleton. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on October 27, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home with a visitation taking place one hour prior from 4-5 pm.
