Cheryl Ann Cox's Obituary
Cheryl Ann Cox, 67, was born on July 11 1957 to Max and Ruby (Moore) Rush in Corydon Iowa. Cheryl grew up in Cambria Iowa with two siblings, Richard and Deanna Rush. Cheryl attended Wayne Community schools, where she met her future husband Steve. Cheryl graduated from Wayne in 1975. Cheryl and Steve were united in marriage on December 6th 1975. From this marriage came three children, Chad Dwayne, Angela Nicole, and Jesse Lee.
Cheryl enjoyed doing many things, which included scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Cheryl passed away on February 20th at Wayne County Hospital with her husband by her side.
Cheryl in preceded in death by her parents, Max and Ruby, Mother and Father-in-law Nellie and Raymond Cox, brother-in-law Jerry Cox, and sister-in-law Patricia Casey.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Steve, siblings, Rick Rush, Deanna (Keith) Rush, children, Chad (Erica) Cox, Angela Cox, Jesse (Melissa) Cox, grandchildren Samantha(James) Laswell, Mackinze Cox, Abbigail(Evan) Langford, Breanna Cox, Shianne Cox, Ian Cox, Cody Cox, Alexander Cox, and Evan Cox, one great-granddaughter Landrie Laswell and nieces and nephews Brittany Schaeffer, Miranda Cox, Marie Cox, David Cox, and Trevor Casey.
Visitation services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday at Rush Cemetery.
