Charlotte Joan "C.J." Sconzo-Humphrey's Obituary
Charlotte Joan "C.J" (Fenton) Sconzo-Humphrey was born on December 5, 1937 in Centerville, Iowa. She passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at Sullivan County Hospital in Milan, Missouri at the age of 85.
On August 4, 1956, C.J. was united in marriage to Freddie Dean Dunham, and to this union, a son, Flint Douglas Dunham and a daughter, Susan Diane Breese were born. On June 9, 1976, she married Frank E. Sconzo, who preceded her in death on September 6, 1983. On December 2, 1989, C.J. walked down the aisle, marrying Clinton Humphrey at the First Baptist Church in Queen City.
Left to cherish C.J.'s memory is her husband, Clinton Humphrey; her step daughter, Laura Turner; her step grandchildren, Paisley Turner and Sheldon Breuklander; her son, Flint (Rosanne) Dunham, and their children, Lark Dunham (fiancé, Casey Carlson), Matt Dunham, Stephanie Grenko and Erika Bailey; her daughter, Susan Breese, and her children, Alex, Tanner, Taylor Breese and Ashton King; brothers, David (Janie) Fenton, Mike (Robin) Fenton, and Rick (Chris) Fenton and their families; her nephew, Russell Bryan; as well as numerous great grandchildren and several extended family members.
C.J. was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Bryan) Fenton and step father, Martin Fenton; her sister, Shirlee Bryan Grismore; nephew, Kenneth Bryan; and an infant great-granddaughter, Mckinley Breese.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Larry Bettis officiating. Burial will follow the service at IOOF Cemetery in Hurdland, Missouri. Visitation will take place Thursday, August 17, 2023 with the family greeting friends from 10-11AM.
