CHARLES CLINTON PATTERSON Charles Clinton Patterson, age 74 of Pleasant Hill, IA passed away on December 3rd, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Charles was a writer with a collection of poems that he shared with friends and family. Charles enjoyed playing the piano, listening to music, spending time with family, and the fellowship at Pleasant Hill Residence. Charles was born in Allerton, IA, the son of Mervin and Evelyn Patterson. He returned to Allerton after serving in the Coast Guard, attending meat cutting school in Ohio, and working for HyVee and Safeway. Charles is survived by his son Mark and three grandchildren, Austin, Jewelea, and Richie that live in Sedona, AZ. A brother Carl (Judy) Patterson of Des Moines, IA, a sister Linda (Eric) McMasters of Lincoln, NE, one niece, and five nephews. The viewing will be on December 9th, 2014 from 1:00 to 1:30pm at the Randolph Funeral Home in Allerton, IA followed by a memorial service at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Shriver Cemetery.
