Charles Lamberson Jr.'s Obituary
Charles E. Lamberson Jr., 82 of Humeston passed away March 28, 2015 at Corydon Nursing & Rehab. Charles was born to Charles Sr. & Cora (Ellis) Lamberson on March 20, 1933 in Cambria, Iowa. He received his education from Cambria High School graduating in 1951. After school, Charles worked as a farmhand from 1951 until 1953. In 1953, Charles enlisted in the United States Army and served his country until 1955. He would continue service with the Army Reserve in Des Moines. After serving his country, Charles spent many years working for Super Value Warehouse in Des Moines. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed playing the electric guitar, polishing his 1963 Chevy Impala and taking fishing trips. Later in life, Charles enjoyed playing Iowa Lottery scratch off tickets and Powerball. Survivors include, three children: Gary Lamberson of Chariton, Barbara Lamberson-Narber of Norwalk, Michael Lamberson of Chariton, six grandchildren and a sister, Mary Johnson of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Lamberson, parents and five siblings: Wayne Lamberson, Deloris Exley, Dean Lamberson, Lorine Snell and Mary Jane Johnson. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Humeston Cemetery with Pastor Leroy Perkins officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Russell E.
