Charles Figge's Obituary
Charles Henry Figge, 89, passed away, January 7, 2012 at the Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center in Centerville.
He was born December 13, 1922 in Schuyler County, Missouri to Oran Washington and Louisa Catherine Bergman Figge who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his wife Helen Marie Campbell; sisters Bernice Snowbarger Miller, Corinne Gemming , and Virginia Riggins; brothers Boyd, Raymond and Russell; Sister-in-law Garnet Figge; brothers-in-law Sherman Snowbarger, Alfred Miller, John Gemming and Luther Riggins. He is survived by a sister-in-law Alice Figge of Schuyler County; nephew Howard Figge; nieces Roberta Snowbarger Waddle, Cathy Figge Johns Shepard and Cecilia Figge Lawson and 5 grandnieces and 2 grandnephews.
Charles spent a large part of his life farming. He also served in the army before and during the Korean War and was awarded three bronze stars.
Charles has been cremated and there will be no memorial services at this time. Interment of the cremated remains will occur in the Numa Cemetery. Lange Funeral Home in Centerville is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.langefh.com.
