Cecil Pearson's Obituary
Cecil Pearson, age 88, of Centerville died July 1, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
Cecil was born July 28, 1916 to Carl and Nettie (Phillips) Alexander in Centerville. She graduated from Centerville High School in 1932. Cecil completed two years post graduate work and received her degree in bookkeeping from Chicago Business College. She was employed by the Appanoose County Treasurer's Office as well as the Auditor's Office, where she served as Appanoose County Deputy Auditor.
On September 11, 1946 Cecil married S. Hubert Pearson in Des Moines, Iowa. They were the parents of two daughters Martha and Linda. Martha and her husband, the Rev. Randall Rottman, reside in Congers, New York; Linda and her husband, Jim Stephens, reside in Centerville. Cecil is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Soren Rottman, his wife Julie and two children, Naomi and Kenan of Yakima, Washington; Joel Rottman and his wife Amber of San Diego, California; Elizabeth Rottman of New York, New York; Noah Rottman of New York, New York; Lindsey Stephens of Des Moines, Iowa; Ryan Stephens of Naples, Florida; and Rachel Stephens of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert, her two brothers, Don and Paul Alexander, and a sister, Edna Close.
