Cathie Eddy's Obituary
Cathie Eddy, age 53 of Exline died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Cathie was born May 5, 1958 in Kirksville, MO the daughter of Gerald and Collene (Farr) Parris. She graduated from Novinger High School, Novinger, MO and received her undergraduate and Masters of Education degrees from Truman State University, Kirksville. She had taught biology at the Schuyler County Schools for the past 16 years. Cathie grew up on a farm and started showing cattle at the age of eight with her father. Ron and Cathie met at a cattle show and later were married at First Methodist Church in Centerville on September 7, 2000.
She loved showing cattle, riding horses, flowers, gardening and driving her mustang convertible. But her pride and joy was her dog Lilly. Cathie was a member of both the National Education Association and St Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville, Iowa.
Cathie is survived by her husband Ron, three children Cabrin Weaver of Moulton, Iowa, Justice Weaver of Des Moines, Iowa, Drennen Eddy of Moulton; her parents Gerald and Collene Parris of Novinger, MO, a mother-in-law Berta Lee Eddy of Moulton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Robert Eddy.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2PM Saturday afternoon, May 5, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville with Fr. Dennis Schaab C P.P. S officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday evening at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in the Zoar Cemetery, south of Exline. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
