Catherine Holloway's Obituary
Catherine Lynn Holloway, 58, of Clio and formerly of Corydon, passed away on June 8, 2020 at Wayne County Hospital due to renal failure. Cathey was born on a snowy night on December 29, 1961 in Des Moines to Charles and Deloris (Ross) Southern. Cathey lived and attended school in Des Moines and enjoyed several activities while working part time at Dunkin' Donuts and Pizza Hut. After moving to Wayne County, she met and married David Holloway. The couple moved around, living in the Clio, Allerton, and Corydon communities. Cathey worked at Joan's Caf while attending classes for CNA training before pursuing jobs at the County Home, local care center, and working as a home health care aide until her health no longer allowed her to work. Cathey is survived by her husband, daughter Amber, son Justin and his friend Reanda, grandchildren Jasmine, Justice, Joselynn and Justina, all of Clio, and sister Vicky Rus of Corydon. Cathey is also survived by two children, JJ and Raelynn, who likewise knew her as "grandma," and the many friends and acquaintances from the past 30 years she spent as a resident in Wayne County, the place she called home.
