Carrie L. Hull's Obituary
Carrie Lovilla Jeanette DeVore Wymer Hull, age 86 of Des Moines, Iowa, died Thursday December 29, 2005 at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines. She was greatly loved by her family and her friends. She enriched the lives of all she knew and is already missed.
Carrie was born on June 14, 1919 in Missouri, the oldest daughter of Charley and Stella Mosbey DeVore. In 1939, Carrie married Keith Wymer. They later divorced. In 1973, she married Roy Hull of Tekamah, NE.
She leaves to honor her memory her ten children, Carolyn (Dennis) Twogood of Des Moines, Kay (Robert) Kiral of Denton, TX., Connie Crane of Omaha, NE, Larry (Pam) Wymer of West Des Moines, Jerry (Sharon) Wymer of West Linn, Oregon, Phyllis (Wayne) Whitmer of Perry, Iowa, Jayne (Ray) Darner of Des Moines, IA, William (Connie) Wymer of Spirit Lake, IA, Joseph Peggy) Wymer of Winterset, Iowa, Donald (Grace) Wymer of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Carrie is also survived by her siblings Robert DeVore of Corydon, Iowa, Ivan DeVore of Promise City, Iowa, Dale (Mary Helen) DeVore of Plano, Iowa, and Betty (Rex) Peterson of Plano, Iowa Dorothy McIntire of Urbandale, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Hull, her parents, her sister Virginia Wilmot, brothers Bernard and Maurice DeVore.
Carrie was a very kind, loving generous grandmother to 37 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
Her love of embroidery and especially quilting was seen throughout her life by her many gifts. Carrie also enjoyed her many travels with her husband Roy.
Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Sunday January 1, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 4 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery north and west of Plano, Iowa. A memorial has been established to the Jones Cemetery and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544-3135.
