Carole Schultz's Obituary
Carole Sue Schultz, 60 of Promise City passed away, Monday, October 31, 2022 at Mercy One - Des Moines.
Carole was born to Edwin & Geraldine (Harlan) Poole on October 10, 1962 in Des Moines. She was raised north of Promise City on her family farm where she loved to be. She received her education from Seymour High School, graduating in 1981. After high school, Carole attended and graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 1983. On July 18, 1983, Carole was united in marriage to Donald E. Schultz. To this union came four children: Nathan, Melissa, Donnie and Stephanie.
Carole was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children and taking care of her husband. Carole loved spending time with her grandkids, it was always the highlight of her day. She also enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye sports, Green Bay Packer football, NASCAR, reading, crossword puzzles, playing BINGO, reading the Sunday Des Moines Register and working with her husband.
Carole was an excellent cook who enjoyed cooking. Her family always looked forward to her lasagna. She loved spending time with her brother Kevin and his family. She was loved deeply my them.
Carole was a very kind and loving person who enjoyed a great conversation. She never knew a stranger. Carole always had a smile on her face.
Survivors include her husband, Don Schultz, children: Nathan Schultz, Melissa Lancaster, Stephanie Rose (Matt), grandchildren: Gage Rose, Kaiden Rose, brother; Kevin Poole (Tammy) and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Donnie Schultz.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Monday, November 7, 2022 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. Interment will be private at a later date at Confidence Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour from 12-4 pm with family present from 2-4 pm.
