Carole Jean Roadenizer's Obituary
Carole Jean Roadenizer, age 88, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at her home.
Carole was born on September 13, 1935 in Seymour, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil and Vivian (Slater) Taylor. She was united in marriage to George LaVern Roadenizer on August 11, 1957, in Rock Island, Illinois. To this union, four children were born, Theresa, Robbin, Denise and Russell.
Carole loved being outside. She was fond of gardening-flowers and food, working on her yard, and particularly sitting on her porch watching the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Carole's memory are her children, Theresa (Charlie) Baugh, Robbin (Charles) Heggen, and Denise Roadenizer; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Doris Morris, Karen Kirby, Virgie Wenninger, and Mary Eng; as well as several extended family members.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Vivian Taylor; her husband, George LaVern Roadenizer on March 5, 2002; and her son, Russell Roadenizer on January 1, 2021.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour.
