Grandma Armstrong loved the Indianola Balloon Festival, craft shows, auctions, the Warren County Fair, and the Iowa State Fair. She also was a volunteer for Vets Hospital, The Legion Hall, Iowa Conservation Board, and many other places. She also was a Catholic at heart. Her first husband Richard Houston passed away in 1972. Then she married Harley Armstrong whom died in the 1990's
Beth & Teresa - I'm so sorry about your mom. She was a fun, great lady. I have known her ever since I can remember as her and my mom were best friends for a lot of years. Hang on to those memories, and know she is in a better place now. I will miss her too. I just know my mom was there at the golden gates to greet her, along with many other loved ones.
