Carol Jean Wymer's Obituary
Carol Jean (Stout) Wymer, age 81, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 09, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines with her family by her bedside.
Carol was born to Leo C. and Beulah May (Bonner) Wishmeyer on May 6, 1938 in Corydon, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Donald D. Stout on December 14, 1958 in Moline, Illinois. Together, they raised four children, Robert, Pamela, Laurie, and Randy. After Dons passing, she married Dewey Wymer in 1999.
Left to cherish Carols memory are her children, Robert (Linda) Stout of Lincoln, Nebraska, Pamela (Paul) Weisskopf of Des Moines, Iowa, Laurie (Bill) Davis of Centerville, Iowa, and Randy (Nancy) Stout of Glenwood, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jeff Davis, Tim (Jaimie) Davis, Ashley (Stan) Kessens, Nicole (Blake) Wilson, and Jennifer (Raymond) Marks; three step grandchildren, Ashley (Richard) Schaper, Cassandra Cullum and Joshua Cullum; one great grandson, Trevor Kessens; two sisters in law, Lavonne McWhorter and Marla Wishmeyer; a brother in law, Arnold Davis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, a granddaughter, Katherine "Katie" Weisskopf; her beloved dog, Penny; two brothers, Kenneth (Peggy) Wishmeyer and James Wishmeyer; a nephew, Todd Wishmeyer; six sisters in law; and five brothers in law.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30PM, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour, Iowa with Pastor Larry Hudson officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, Tim Davis, Stan Kessens, Blake Wilson, Joshua Cullum, and Greg Wishmeyer. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, with the family greeting friends from 12:00-1:00PM. Memorials have been established to EveryStep Hospice, and may be dropped off or mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
