Carol Walker's Obituary
Carol Walker, 96 of Centerville passed away, Friday, October 12, 2018 at Golden Age Care Center. Carol was born to George & Jean (Dixon) Clark on September 30, 1922 in Mystic. She received her education from Plano High School, graduating in 1941. On June 5, 1942, Carol was united in marriage to Marvin Walker. To this union came two children: Vernon and Margery. Carol was a homemaker throughout her life. She helped Marvin run the farm, was a member of Plano Christian Church, held memberships in the DD-Club and Ladies Aid for the church. She enjoyed gardening and time spent with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Margery Sandy (John), three grandchildren: Jean Foster, Sara Vanderheyden (Jamey), Josh Wilson (Amanda), five great grandchildren and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Walker, son, Vernon Walker and four siblings: Margery Hahn, Bill Clark, Bob Clark and Donald Clark. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11 am.
