Carol Self's Obituary
Carol Self, 74 of Moravia died Wednesday night at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Graveside services for her cremains at 5:00 p.m.,Friday, May 28, 2004 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating.
Carol was born on July 14, 1929 in Albia to Robert and Viola (Bettis) Rogers. Carol married Don F. Self on December 4, 1967 at LaPlata, Missouri. She graduated from Albia High School and William Penn University. Carol had worked at Chamberlins in Albia, was a substitute teacher at Moravia and taught at Buffalo-Wallar.
Surviving are four children; Donald Lee Self of Moravia, Ronald J. Self and his wife Patty of Unionville, Ia, Linda K Houser and her husband John of Moravia, Bobby Dean Self and his wife Janiece of Moravia, a sister; Betty Sullivan and her husband Bill of Albia, brother Gary Rogers and his wife Sherry of Sturgis, South Dakota 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don, parents, daughter Kathyrn, grandson Bobby Penfield and a sister.
A memorial has been established to the First Responders of Moravia which can be left at or mailed to Thomas Lange Funeral Home 1900 South 18th St. Centerville, Ia
