Carol Jean McFarling's Obituary
Carol Jean McFarling, 64 of Centerville passed away, Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her home.
Carol was born in Centerville to Ernest & Eunice Deloris "June" (Lear) Thomas on May 14, 1957. She attended Centerville schools and then graduated from Ottumwa High School. Carol had various jobs throughout her life, working in the Centerville area, and while living in the Dallas area, she worked at Texas Instruments at a Security Level 3.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her dogs, family, and friends. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed making jewelry, loved working in her flower gardens, and fishing at both the lake and reservoir in Centerville.
Survivors include her siblings: Judith "Judy" Lewis, Phyllis Atkinson, Darlene Brumitt, Janet Thomas, Garry "GAT" Thomas, Mary Clark, Richard "Flea" Thomas, "Randy "Red" Thomas; close and dear friends, Sue and Paula and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings: Karren Rader, Ronald "Ronnie" Thomas, infant sister Linda Kay Thomas, and an infant brother Ricky Dean Thomas.
Per Carol's wishes, her body has been cremated. Her family will be gathering for a celebration of her life at 1:00 pm, Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Reservoir in Centerville. Memorials may be given to her family and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
