Carol Jane Daugherty's Obituary
Carol Jane Daugherty, age 62, of Plano, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of William and Lois (Goodell) Martin on March 22, 1945 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville Community Schools in 1963 and would later attend AIB in Des Moines, Iowa.On April 29, 1967, Carol was united in marriage to Harold 'Harry' Daugherty in Numa, Iowa. She worked as a Home Health Aid for Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was a member of the Seymour Baptist Church in Seymour, Iowa.She was preceded in death by: her mother, Lois Martin on December 26, 2000 and her father, William J. Martin on June 28,. 2007.Carol is survived by: her husband, Harry Daugherty of Plano, Iowa; daughters, Joyce McDaniel and her husband, David of Plano, Iowa and Joanna Martin and her husband, Daniel of Sachse, Texas; five grandchildren; brothers, James Martin and Edwin Martin both of Plano, Iowa.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Del Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Brushy Cemetery north of Plano, Iowa. Visitation with the family present, will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 2 pm till 8 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to ALS Association - Iowa Chapter or Mercy Hospice and left at the funeral home.
