Carl Micetich Obituary's Obituary
Carl Micetich, 78 of Numa passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics. Carl was born in Centerville to Phillip & Frances(Kopatich) Micetich on November 25, 1928. Carl was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Ham Radio Breakfast Club. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, repairing radios & televisions, old cars, being a Ham Radio operator and his Croatian Heritage. Carl is survived by seven children; Kathy Vaughn(Gene) of Albany, Georgia, Britt Micetich(Marilyn) of Knoxville, Brenda Brooks(Terry) of Angleton, Texas, Timothy Micetich(Lori) of Unionville, Missouri, Holly Davis(John) of Campbells Island, Illinois, Bruce Micetich(Chris) of Knoxville, Stephanie Grimm(Mike) of Prole, Iowa, 16 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three brothers; Edward Micetich(Anita) of Buckeye, Arizona, Phillip 'Butch' Micetich Jr. of Numa, Tom Micetich of Centerville, four sisters; Delores Smith of Marshalltown, Phyllis Tracy of Centerville, Marcella Doggett(Tom) of New London, Marge Stickler(Rollie) of Numa, an uncle Angelo Micetich(Mary), his aunt Matilda Vruble and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Florence Davis. Visitation will be all day Tuesday, October 9, at Thomas Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Tim Guthridge C.P.P.S officiating. Interment will be in Numa Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church or the Numa Cemetery Association which may be left at or mailed to Thomas Funeral Home 23548 Hwy 5 Centerville, Iowa 52544.
