Carl Corbett's Obituary
Carl Corbett, 66, of Centerville died Tuesday morning October 28, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
He was born on July 6,1937 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of James and Cordelia (Tolbert) Corbett. He married Oneita Whicker on January 15, 1960 at the Gospel Church in Centerville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Gerald and Darl Corbett, one grandson Max Wulff and an infant brother.
Survivors include, his wife Oneita Corbett, daughter Lisa Wulff of Centerville, daughter LaDonna of Kansas City, brother James of Centerville, sister Betty Pearson of Ottumwa ,two grandaughters, Jill Stephens of Kansas City and Kristin Wulff of Centerville, one grandson Jonathan Stephens of Kansas City and one great grandson, Seth Wulff of Centerville.
Carl was a radio broadcaster for 33 years and worked for KCOG, KBIZ/KTVO and KOKX, He was known as ""Mr. KCOG"". He was a member of the American Legion and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday October 31, 2003 at Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Geneva Parsons officiating. Friends may call all day Thursday at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home where. A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
