Carl Junior Abbott's Obituary
Carl Junior Abbott, age 73, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at his home.
Carl was born on March 31, 1945, in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Carl Abbott Sr. and Betty (Hines) Abbott. He was first married to Linda Abbott. He then married Mary "Sissy" (Henderson) Abbott. They both preceded him in death. Carl was united in marriage to Mary Johnson on July 7, 2015.
Carl enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to fish and work on cars. He was especially fond of spending time with his dog, Brownie.
Left to honor Carls memory are his daughter, Penny Crane; his son, Neal Cooksey; one grandchild, Liz Ryals; a sister, Ruth Campbell; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Sharon Bluffs State Park, east of Centerville. A memorial has been established to the family of Carl Abbott, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
