Candita Furlin's Obituary
Candita Marie Furlin, age 42 of Des Moines and formerly of Seymour passed away on March 26, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Candita was born on August 3, 1976 to Dennis and Cynthia Furlin in Centerville, Iowa. She attended school at Seymour and graduated from Seymour High School with the class of 1994. Growing up Candita loved playing sports and was very good at them. She had many friends, and she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and her nephew. Her passion was for her dogs, especially Socks. She loved listening to music and her favorites were Garth Brooks and Bob Marley. Candita was a supporter and an active participant of the annual Epilepsy Walk. Candita's Crusaders include her parents Dennis and Cindy Furlin, fianc Matt Horak, sister, Brandita Taylor (Jeremy), brother, Chris Furlin (Shonda), nieces Olivia and Zoe, nephew Hunter, grandparents Les and Marilyn Krieger and Bill Frampton and Lucille Medearis and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather John Furlin. Funeral service will be Saturday March 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour with Pastor Dennis Higgins officiating. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Friday March 29, 2019 with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. Interment will be at Southlawn Cemetery.
