Bryan Kent Pounds Obituary's Obituary
Bryan Kent Pounds was born April 14, 1963 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Bryan was dealt an unfortunate hand in life with his many illnesses, but his strong will and determination kept him in the game. As a youth Bryan was active in 4-H and FFA. Showing animals was a big part of growing up. Later in life, when his health allowed, he worked as a farm hand. He always enjoyed being outdoors. Bryan would often be found fishing or camping with his nieces and nephews, whom he cherished greatly. If he wasn't fishing or camping with them he was watching a band concert, cheering them on at a game, or being a volunteer committee member for Cub Scouts. The town of Allerton also meant a great deal to Bryan, whether it was poker night with the boys, being part of the motorcycle club, or most of all his many years being involved with the Allerton plays. Bryan was a man who loved to work with his hands. He would fix anything whether it was broken or not. He loved woodcarving. One of his main goals during his deteriorating health was to be able to use his woodcarving tools again. Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Colleen Lash and Darrel and Phyllis Pounds, brother-in-law John and his mother Linda. He is survived by sister Gayle and husband Rick of Corydon, sister Beth of Mystic, sister Diane of Corydon, brother Darrell and fiance Brianna of Sioux Rapids, father Norm and wife Ethyl of Newell, nieces Amber, Adrien and Sidney, nephews Ty. Caleb and Skyden, brother-in-law Joe and many cherished cousins, aunts, and uncles.
