Brittany Elam's Obituary
Brittany Dilene Elam, 35 of Fremont passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at Mercy One – Des Moines.
Brittany was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on September 24, 1990. Brittany received her education from Cardinal High School, graduating in 2009. She would later attend Indian Hills Community College for a time.
Brittany enjoyed crafting, woodworking and her ability to perform sign language. Brittany was actively home schooling her daughter and enjoyed do so. She loved to watch Dance Mom’s TV show and church on TV. She also spent time daily singing and praying with her daughter. Brittany was a person who shared what she had with others. She loved to help people. She enjoyed time with her family, specifically time with her daughter.
Survivors include her daughter, Xakaiya Reighn Elam, parents, Rev. Michael & Lisa Angel, four siblings, aunts and uncles: Kenny & Amy Seeley, Sarah Collis & Jeff McClurg, Carolyn Whicker, Charlie Seeley, Kellen Crowder and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles & Mildred Seeley, Diona Crowder, Kenneth L. Seeley Sr., Barbara Tretham, “Aunt” LaVon Seeley and “Uncle” Benji Forney.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Haines Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 12-1:00 pm.
