Bradford Eugene Young's Obituary
Brad Young, 73 of Centerville passed away Saturday October 9, 2021 at Mercy One - Centerville.
Brad was born to Ival & Verna (Weaver) Young on May 2, 1948 in Seymour, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Denise Baggs and to this union came one son, James, and they later divorced. Brad was united in marriage to Pam Berner in 1978.
Brad worked in many manufacturing positions and retired from Centerville Equipment (John Deere).
He enjoyed camping, fishing and cars. He especially loved buying and selling cars. He was the happiest when he had a vintage car in the garage. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and nieces and nephew. He was always accompanied by his dog, Maggie.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Young, son, James Young (Amy), grandchildren: Bradley, Brayden, Breeanna, Brooklyn Young, brothers: Terry Young (Natalie), Leland Young and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: David Young, Mark Young and his father-in-law, Ray Berner.
Funeral service will be 1:30 pm, Friday, October 15, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Jeremy McElvain officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour. Visitation will be all day Thursday, October, 14, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home with the family present from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Centerville and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
