Bonnie Belle Stahlnecker's Obituary
Bonnie Stahlnecker, 74, of Des Moines, IA passed away peacefully at Taylor House Hospice on December 29th, 2024. Bonnie was born on March 18th, 1950 in Des Moines, the daughter of Arnold and Marybelle (Costy) Byars. On May 2nd, 1982 she married Rickie Joseph Stahlnecker in Phoenix, AZ. They lived the majority of their lives in the Phoenix area. Upon retirement, they moved back to the Midwest to be closer to family.
Aunt Bonnie loved her family, her church, playing Yahtzee, dancing, gardening, but most of all she loved her cats! Her cats were her babies and everyone who knew her would agree. Aunt Bonnie is survived by her nieces, Renee Johnson of Des Moines, IA; Christine Byars of Johnston, IA and Stephanie Warren of Des Moines, IA; great nephew Joseph Byars, of Bondurant, IA; great nieces: Harley Yeager of Johnston, IA and Raelinn Yeager of Berwik, IA and many great-great nieces and nephews, all who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her sisters Theresa (Elbert) Haynes and Rebecca (Merle) Reagan.
Bonnie Belle Stahlnecker was laid to rest at the Sprigg Cemetery in Unionville, MO beside her loving husband. A Memorial service will be held at her church, Chesterfield Christian Church 2556 Onawa St, DSM, IA 50317 on January 1st, 2025 at 4pm.
