Bobby R. Wyldes' Obituary
Bobby Wyldes, age 68, of Centerville, Iowa died Thursday, December 02, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Bobby was born April 13, 1942 in Unionville, Iowa, the son of Orlando and Eva (Danay) Wyldes. He grew up in Appanoose County and graduated from Centerville High School with the class of 1960. After graduation, Bobby worked for Safeway in Centerville for a short period of time before going to work for Hy-Vee.
Bobby worked in the produce department at Hy-Vee for several years. He later worked as a brick tender for a construction company in Chillicothe, Iowa.
Upon ending his employment in Chillicothe, Bobby became self-employed in the construction field. He enjoyed helping the people of our community with numerous construction jobs, including mowing, stump removal, home repair, as well as many other jobs.
In his free time Bobby was an avid hunter, especially quail hunting. He also enjoyed fishing, as well as collecting cars.
He is survived by two children, Miranda McClure of Centerville, Iowa, and James (Amy) Young of Kansas; six grandchildren, Tanner and Travis McClure of Centerville, Bradley, Brayden, Breeanna, and Brooklyn Young of Westmoreland, Kansas; two sisters, Sue Ann (Tom) Thomas of West Chester, Iowa, and Lorene (Earl) Evans of Muscatine, Iowa; a brother Jimmy (Shirley) Wyldes of Ottumwa, Iowa; and a great grandchild Ava McClure.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Helen Green.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 7 PM, Monday, December 6, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Mike Thomas officiating. An open visitation will follow the memorial service Monday night at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Iowa, Missouri Ford Club.
