Bob Swarts' Obituary
Bob Swarts, age 87, of Moulton, Iowa, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born the son of the late William Swarts and the late Grace (Robbins) Swarts on September 14, 1917 in Moulton, Iowa. He received his schooling through the eleventh grade in Appanoose Rural Schools.On November 23, 1965, he was united in marriage to Wilma Graber in Newton, Iowa. He was a farmer and also worked for 36 years at Maytag in Newton, Iowa.Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; sisters Eva Piatt, Edith Howard, and Helen Kirkland; brothers Raymond, Charles, and Rex Swarts.He is survived by: his stepson, Dick Graber; stepdaughters Nancy Schilling and Diane Ratcliff, all of the Newton, Iowa area; brother Russell Swarts of Cedar Creek, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, at 10:30 A.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Moulton, Iowa.
