Bob Houser's Obituary
Bob Houser age 77, of Moulton, died Wednesday morning March 22, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
Bob was born October 16, 1928 the son of Estel and Blanche (Matherly) Houser in Centerville, Iowa. He married Deloris Binkert in Lancaster, Missouri on December 12, 1950. She preceded him in death on January 3, 2003. Bob farmed the Appanoose County area most of his life. He also owned Houser's Standard Gas Station and worked for Hormel. Bob loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family. Bob was a veteran of the Korean War.
Bob is survived by his four sons; Steve (Lisa) Houser of Moulton, Iowa, Michael Houser of Edgarton, Wisconsin, Larry Houser of Montezuma, Iowa, Tim Houser of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; two daughters, Debra (Bill) Martin of Vinton, Iowa, Cheryl (Jeff) DeWitt of New Sharon, Iowa; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, June (Dean) Duley and Ruby Houser all of Moulton; a brother Paul (Mary) Houser of Moulton, Iowa. Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Bill Houser; and a sister Opal Houser Van Doren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday 1 PM, March 25, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Steve Houser officiating. Interment of the cremains will be in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home all day Friday with the family present from 6-8 PM. Memorials have been established to the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Mt. Ararat Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
