Blanche E. Rosencrants' Obituary
Blanche Ella Rosencrants, age 99 of Centerville, Iowa died Monday September 11, 2006 at the Centerville Nursing & Rehab, Centerville, Iowa.
Blanche was born June 29, 1907, the daughter of James and Rebecca (Crouch) Luckett in Missouri. At the young age of nine Blanche entered the working world. She later married Henry Hiram Rosencrants July 6, 1927 in Knoxville, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1973. Blanche was a member of the Methodist Church. She liked to work and loved spending time with her family.
Blanche is survived by four children, Robert Henry Rosencrants of Centerville, Iowa, Benjamin Russell (Mary) Rosencrants of Centerville, Iowa, Rebecca Alice (Dwight) Robb of Corydon, Iowa, Rose Clara (Tom) Daugherty of Stayton, Oregon; twelve grandchildren, Robert (Pam) Rosencrants, of Des Miones, Iowa, Victoria Rosencrants of Centerville, Iowa, Gordon (Debbie) Robb, of Des Miones, Iowa, Ella Carr of Des Moines, Iowa, Sandy (Tim) Shipley of Des Moines, Iowa, Roger (Vicki) Robb of Des Moines, Iowa, Kevin (Diane) Rosencrants of Lawrence, KS, Kurt Rosencrants of Phuket, Thailand, Jeffrey (Tonya) Rosencrants of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gayla Tulensru of Monmouth, Oregon and Joy Ani of Monmouth, Oregon; twenty two great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Walter and Calvin Luckett; five sisters, Sarah Colbert, Elizabeth Morris, Clara Briscoe, Edith Holcomb, Thelma Plummer and Nancy Holcomb; and one grand child, Danny Zomes.
Funeral Services will be held 11 Am Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Dianne Christopher officiating. Interment will be held at 3 PM at the Sunset Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa. A visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home with the family present from 10-11AM. A memorial has been established to the Prairie Trails Museum of Wayne County and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
