Billy Deahl Obituary's Obituary
Billy Deahl 85, of Exline passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Centerville Nursing & Rehab. Billy was born to Clovie & Fern (Simmons) Deahl on April 27, 1927 in Exline. He received his education from Exline High School. Billy married Twila Fogle on May 6, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois. He was a Manager of several different Kinney shoe stores throughout the Midwest for most of his career. Billy enjoyed gardening, caring for animals, music, westerns, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed time spent at the Exline Country Store. Billy was a member of the Exline Church of Christ, numerous rabbit clubs and judged many local County Fair competitions. Billy is survived by eight children; Susan Combs(Jack) of McCordsville, IN, Vicki Doty(Gary) of Stillman Valley, IL, Steve Deahl(Kai) of Batavia, IL, Billie Woodyatt(Rick) of Genoa, IL, Peggy Ruckman(Larry) of Centerville, Mary Mikels(Rodney) of Exline, Yvonne Graham(Todd) of Davenport, Susan VanDenburg of Kalona, IA, 35 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, two brothers; Lloyd Deahl(Kay) of Manchester, IA and David Deahl(Wanda) of Davenport, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife Twila Deahl, two children; Wayne Preston Deahl and Cheryl Ann Ormond, grandson, Frank Deahl, two brothers; Veldon and Fred Deahl. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Home. Visitation will be all day Monday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Exline Cemetery.
