Billy Joe Cowan's Obituary
Billy (Bill) Joe Cowan, 72, passed away at the Care Initiatives Facility in Centerville, IA August 8, 2021 at 9:19am.
Billy was born February 4, 1949 to Lee Onidus Cowan and Anna Mae Cowan (Crafton) in Mendota, Missouri. He was joined in marriage on May 28, 1977 to Vicki Cowan (Moriarty).
Billy was a very family-oriented man who loved being around his family for cookouts and gatherings. He also loved to hunt and fish, spending many nights fishing at the Eddyville River and religiously going deer hunting every season.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Cowan of Exline; his daughter, Anna Cowan Garr and son in law Bryan Garr of Exline IA, his son, Donald Cowan and daughter in law, Theresa Cowan of Sigourney IA; 2 Granddaughters, Miranda Cosgrove Lancial and Violet Conrad; 3 Grandsons, Landon, Adrien, and Anthony; Great-Grandson, Jacoby Steen; and his nephew Johnnie Cowan.
Billy was proceeded in death by his Father Lee, Mother Anna, Brother Steven, and Sister Judy.
Per Billys wishes, cremation has been accorded. Lange Funeral Home and Crematory of Centerville has been entrusted with caring for the Cowan family. There are no scheduled services at this time. Memorials may be written to Vicki Cowan, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, C/O Cowan family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
